How Benchmarker.me Works

Transparent, data-driven professional influence rankings

We analyze publicly available professional content to create benchmark-specific rankings of the most influential thought leaders. Here's our process from data collection to actionable insights.

1

Data Collection

We aggregate publicly available professional content, tracking posts, engagement metrics, and profile information across benchmarks. We only use data that's publicly visible - no private information.

What we collect:

  • Public post content and timestamps
  • Like, comment, and repost counts
  • Profile headlines and organizations

Our scoring formula:

Benchmarker Score =
Total Likes + (Total Comments × 3)

Comments are weighted 3x because they indicate deeper engagement and conversation generation.

2

Scoring & Analysis

Each influencer receives a Benchmarker Score based on their total engagement. We weight different types of engagement to reflect their value.

3

Benchmark Ranking

Influencers are grouped by benchmark and ranked by their Benchmarker Score. This creates meaningful, apples-to-apples comparisons within each vertical.

Why benchmark-specific?

A top VC influencer shouldn't be compared to a top healthcare executive - they have different audiences and contexts.

Benchmark rankings let you see who's truly leading in your specific space.

Benchmark metrics include:

  • Average posts per week
  • Average likes/comments per post
  • Typical post length
  • Top-performing topics
